Could we really make this work? Would people actually attend? Can a run group in the south side actually work? These were all thoughts that were on my mind prior to day one. After making ourselves present on social media and even going to local community boards and apartments the day was set. My wife and our dog Belle showed up not knowing what to expect. our worst nightmare! I'm just kidding it was not the worst day but it was definitely not the most encouraging.
We continued to push forward and let all our community and run friends know. Immediately we began to see growth. We have had the opportunity to celebrate birthdays, friendships, Halloween and Christmas. To date our biggest accomplishment is to complete one whole year. As we continue to stress, this group does not exist without its runners.
